A multi-professional arts collaboration: This sounds much fancier than it was! It was actually a group of artsy folk who decided to work together here in my studio and we created something beautiful. A team comprising of a model, hair, make up, floristry and photography came together to work on a flower shoot.
A huge part of the learning process is practice. Getting out of your comfort zone to challenge yourself and learn more. When I photograph by myself and I am 80% in control. Usually I have planned a concept, practised and then when the client is ready we shoot. The variables tend to be weather (if outside) and usually children and how they behave when in the studio. When you’re working with other professionals, you all have a different vision and as the creative juices flow it’s often a case of “Oh wait, should we try this” and this is hugely beneficial to the learning process of what works and how to perfect it.
